Who is responsible
Agathe Thiery EI (Mind The Gap), 29 rue Chaligny, 75012 Paris, France (SIRET 103 986 204 00016) is the data controller. For any question about your data, write to contact@mindthegap-tech.eu.
What we collect, and why
- The community waitlist: your email address, your phone number, whether you also want the newsletter, the page you joined from and the date. We use them only to contact you when the community opens and, if you ticked the box, to subscribe you to the newsletter. Legal basis: your consent.
- Forms (nominate a startup, pitch an article, ask for an intro, sign up to an event): what you type in them, to answer you. They run on Tally. Legal basis: your request.
- The newsletter: subscribing takes you to Substack, which then handles your email address under its own privacy policy.
- Visiting the site: our host keeps technical logs (such as IP address and browser) for security and to keep the site running. We don’t use analytics or advertising trackers.
We never sell your data or share it for advertising.
Cookies
This site sets no cookies. YouTube and Instagram videos load only when you press play; from then on, those services apply their own policies (YouTube in its privacy-enhanced mode).
Where it is stored
Waitlist signups are kept in a Google Sheet (Google). The site is hosted by Netlify; forms run on Tally; the newsletter runs on Substack. Some of these providers are based in the United States: transfers rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
How long
Waitlist details are kept until the community opens and you join it, or for at most three years after our last contact with you. Form answers are kept as long as needed to handle your request, and no longer than three years. You can ask for deletion at any time.
Your rights
You can access, correct or delete your data, object to its use, ask for a copy, and withdraw your consent at any time, by writing to contact@mindthegap-tech.eu. We answer within one month. If you think your rights aren’t respected, you can complain to the CNIL (cnil.fr).
